Riding the Intense Waves of a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio

A full moon and lunar eclipse is coming this week. It’s happening at 1:33 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, May 5.

The big full watery moon asks you to look at 15° of Scorpio in your natal chart to see what house this full moon lands in. Scorpio asks us to go deep, so I encourage you to dig deep, investigate, and become more aware of something in this area of your life.

At the full moon, it’s a time to see something that you may have been missing before. It’s a south node eclipse, so there’s a letting go and a releasing of something that served you at one time and isn’t needed anymore. Themes from past emotional traumas can be resurfacing at this time.

Wherever Scorpio is in your natal chart, there’s some deep psychological work going on in this area of life. Stuff can really get stuck here in the shadows.

This full moon has a Scorpio flavor, so we can have some intense emotions coming up, like jealousy, resentment, fear, and even a deeper understanding of past traumas. Other Scorpio topics are sex, secrets, money, unconscious, motivations, and power.

At this particular full moon, projections can happen easily. 

Projections show up as you thinking a problem is with another person but really, they’re only showing you yourself. It can be hard to look at, but we’re seeing this for a reason. It’s time for soul lessons! 

Ideally, we want to experience a more intimate connection to our own needs. And at the same time, living intimately and authentically with others.

Expect the unexpected with Uranus.

Uranus is next to the sun and opposite the moon, so we can expect surprises and unpredictable twists.

At eclipse time, shifts and changes want to happen. How is this showing up in your life?

At a Scorpio lunar eclipse, we can feel heightened emotions. There’s an intensity to things around the time of this eclipse. Our kids are feeling this, and we can even see it in our pets —  watch them! We can also experience this as a strong determination, especially inner determination.
