Mars Expressions Through The 12 Zodiac Signs

Recently, somebody close to me (with Mars in an air sign) was expressing their anger through the air. This is a big clue for me when I know they're angry. They express the air first. Imagine huffing and puffing.

I feel the air. That's how I know their Mars is active. 

We all have a Mars. It’s that part of us that fights, defends, and activates us into motion.

Mars is a heating and activating planet that expresses itself differently based on the sign it was in when you were born.

♈ Mars in Aries.

Mars in Aries is immediate, fiery, passionate, and impulsive — possibly explosive. They can also chill out as fast as they get angry. They get pissed and move on. They require more mindfulness when expressing Mars because it’s STRONG in Aries.

♉ Mars in Taurus.

Mars in Taurus tends to burn steadily and can be unyielding. They can hold onto anger while it simmers. 

♊️ Mars in Gemini.

Mars in Gemini can get angry through their words, and those words can fly quickly out of their mouth. Since Gemini is an air sign, they can tend to get into debates and want to win through words and the mind. It's also quick-witted and changeable. 

♋️ Mars in Cancer.

Mars in Cancer can have mood swings, be protective, and can easily poke at the tender places. You don't mess with their family. They're especially emotionally charged.

♌️ Mars in Leo

Mars in Leo is dramatic. Leo's ego and pride can be delicate territory and easily bruised. They’re proud, loud, and very determined.

♍️ Mars in Virgo.

Mars in Virgo can keep the anger inside as it’s a yin sign. It can be critical or nitpicky, and they might get mad when people aren't doing things the right way because they know the right way. Doing things correctly really motivates someone with Mars in Virgo.

♎️ Mars in Libra.

This fiery planet doesn't love to be in Libra because it's diplomatic. As a Venus-ruled sign, it can be resentful or even avoidant — like, okay, let me just not deal with this anger. This anger can sometimes show up in passive-aggressive ways.

Mars in Scorpio is strong, passionate, and maybe a little dangerous. As a water sign, a lot's happening inside that can cause the water to boil. They can hold onto the resentment or grudges and seek out revenge. Like Aries, they might require more mindfulness. Mars is strong in Scorpio. 

♐️ Mars in Sagittarius.

Mars in Sagittarius can be outspoken and just say the thing. Since they tend to be brutally honest, there's no beating around the bush. Jupiter rules Sag, so they can get away with it. And if they're wrong, they can clean it up. Mars loves to be in a fire sign because it just acts, and Jupiter brings benevolence to it. 

♑️ Mars in Capricorn.

Mars in Capricorn is internal, a little controlled, calculated, and strategic. When anger shows up, Mars has a plan. It’s driven by outcome and success.

♒️ Mars in Aquarius.

Mars in Aquarius is interesting because there can be detachment, and you never know what you'll get. They can easily disconnect from a situation and then take action on whatever idea they come up with. Their approach to action could be a bit out there because of their strong need for equality and fairness. It’s quick-acting in this sign. 

♓️ Mars in Pisces.

Mars in Pisces can show up in many different ways. Pisces is sensitive, so it could show up indirectly and lead to passive aggressiveness. Pisces might be unfamiliar with the emotion; is it anger? I'm not sure. They may need to sit with it.
